Dorothy Gale finds herself in trapped in the mysterious Land of Oz and her presence threatens to re-ignite a war between magic and machines. Revenge Of The Dark Witch Of Oz is a science fiction/fantasy adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz. The tale is told in an illustrated screenplay format, complete with rich paintings, detailed images, sketches and storyboards. For over 100 years, Oz and its characters have inspired readers and writers alike. Since coming into public domain, the original Oz books by Baum have further fuelled other writers and artists to explore that magical land and to put their own take on the familiar stories and characters. Revenge Of The Dark Witch Of Oz re-imagines that world, its inhabitants and its visitors, and tells its story in a cinematic format. Patrick Lemieux is a Canadian artist and writer, whose previous works include the non-fiction book The Queen Chronology: The Recording & Release History Of The Band, co-authored with Adam Unger. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries and venues around Toronto, where he is based.
