GABE CADENCE, a former Marine and middle-aged entrepreneur, struggles when his wife dies in a stressful, heartbreaking battle with cancer. He loses himself in booze and self-pity until friends notice his rapid decline and introduce him to LIZ, the perfect girl, they say. He finds a strange and scary thread of evil that has haunted him all his life.GABE calls on an old friend, FR JOHN, who is a priest, psychiatrist, and semi-retired chaplain in the Marine Corps who helped him readjust when returning from Vietnam. Together they do battle with Satan and his minions to pull GABE out of his downward spiral, but not until they face Satan in his many forms at home and the jungles of southern Mexico. In an effort to save Fr John and Juanita (Gabe's housekeeper and love interest), they escape an encounter with Vampires, The Drug Cartel, and ISIS members trying to prevent them from re-entering the U.S. And Gabe discovers an odd betrayal that forces him to travel home alone. The culmination is an unusual but fitting end as Gabe's life, and soul hangs in the balance. A fast pace exciting read about the paranormal that keeps you on the edge of your chair, and for many may ring true!
