Former stock broker and day-time purveyor of treasured knick-knacks at the town’s newest thrift shop, Michael Wilson shows up for work one day to discover an item missing from his shop. In trying to discover what was taken, he finds a long-forgotten oil painting portrait of a kilted Scotsman. It isn’t long before he learns this is no ordinary painting – the man in the picture is a real person, and he’s been dead for two hundred years. Forming an unlikely partnership, mostly because the painting’s spirit is bored and wants to do something exciting to pass time during his afterlife, the pair begins a search for the missing item, a long-lost map to a long-forgotten treasure that was hidden in the town over a century ago. There are people who would like to get their hands on the map and the treasure, who are likely to do whatever they have to do to keep Michael and ghostly Angus MacKnight from getting to the treasure before they do. Join Michael and Angus on the first of their adventures together. Will Michael end up joining Angus as a ghost haunting the thrift store?
