When someone is surrounded by darkness looking for a way out, how do they know if the hand they’re holding is leading them to the light, or further into the darkness? In a world where people easily believe in angels, why do they tend to forget and disregard the possibility of devils walking amongst them? How can someone know for sure who to trust for help? This is a story about a young man, Cyrus Stone, who is forced to face the harsh and surprising reality that life hands us. After the murder of his fiancé, Liz, and being left for dead, Cyrus is looking for a helping hand. While recovering from his attack and coping with Liz’s murder, Cyrus has flashbacks and memories that remind him just how far off the path to God he really is. Cyrus begins to question why so many horrific events have occurred through out his short life. If God really does exist, why does he let devils run wild to cause pain and suffering to others? What makes angels so much better than devils if they sit back and do nothing to help mankind?
