In the final year of college, Gregg Mason is offered the assignment of a lifetime, to interview three serial killers. His professor, Dr. Max Madwen, advises Gregg to write a thesis paper on "What Makes a Serial Killer" on the completion of the interviews. During his first interview, Gregg unlocks a power burried deep, the ability to enter another person's soul. The moment he makes eye contact with the serial killers, he discovers everything the person experienced making them into the monsters they had become.
