Imagine if you will, the descendant of the actual 19th-century medium, D.D. Home, whose ancestor is the fictional main character in this thrilling novel. The Mad Medium is an anarchist who is mentally unstable. His phony seances defraud the wealthy, even as they provide the front for a drug and white slavery operation. The FBI sends an officer to investigate the supposed charlatan. The medium comes to believe the agent is really the reincarnation of his son, who died of a drug overdose. The agent benefits from this misunderstanding, and soon meets some extremely dangerous criminals. The agent uncovers an underworld of crime operating at the seances, which are scary at times and amusing at others. About the Author Dr. Thomas E.
