Dark Witch: A Wordcraft Mystery (PH Wordcraft Book 3)

A letter from his friend convinces Philip Wordcraft to return to England and help the police search for some missing children in Leicester. The problem is that the police don’t want his help and they refuse to admit that the cases of the missing children are even linked. Philip finds himself tracking a mysterious woman known locally as ‘Black Annis’ which is the name of a witch from centuries ago, a witch who used to live in this same area of Leicester and snatch children. According to the old legends, the witch lived in a cave in the Dane Hills. But these hills are now buried under a concrete council housing estate and there are no caves.
