In his need to expose the land issue in Africa after the colonial rule, Zachariah Marisian steps up to tell an African story, WA\LK. Zachariah Marisian takes the events at the village of Ebukubo as his case study. Two families, Arunga and Rael, fight over the ownership of a piece of land. Arunga is a man that has some money to bribe around. From the assistant chief, the village elders, the religious leaders, the public prosecutor, the judges and even the witch doctors come in handy in Arunga’s quest to hold on to a piece of land not his.The protagonist, Rael, has only one weapon, the truth. Will the truth suffice to sooth the corrupt system and people that are afraid to condemn lies? When money and the use of black magic become insufficient, Arunga chooses pragmatic route. To put to an end Rael’s claim over her piece of land, he kills her family. Arunga’s will is done! He should rest easy as a victor, right? Black magic is rampant in the village of Ebukubo, despite many claiming to be educated in the white man’s ways and being staunch Christians. The truth is frowned upon, fear to call out the wicked is palpable and blood money is blessed. Who will save the village of Ebukubo from the evil men that have tentacles firmly gripping the village affairs? The wicked will live to regret. Their day of reckoning is well set. One by one, they will be hunted to give their dues. The annihilation of Rael’s family invites to the village something...sinister. Death will come calling all that participated in killing Rael’s family. What will be the ultimate end to Arunga and his progeny?
