It's 2016, and a sunlight deprived Onyx reemerges to the real world from the faerie realm after just over four years. A string of similar murders throws Nicki and Elliot on the trail of a hitman who may have been responsible for Frank's untimely demise back in 1978. An old mafia don, a retired cop, and a friend of Onyx's each seem to hold a piece of the mystery surrounding Frank's death. Onyx vows to help solve Frank's murder all while dealing with her unresolved issues with the men in her life. Unknown to Onyx, Rome is alive and moving ahead with his mysterious plans now that she's is back into the fray. With Esben by his side and hidden from her, Rome's true intentions begin to surface.
