Scarlett is a young female who believes her life is finally coming together. Scarlett’s life changes completely when she encounters winged monsters who are killing people mercilessly. Amidst the apocalypse, Scarlett meets Jonathan, a handsome, caring nurse who aids her in her journey. When Jonathan and Scarlett find a safe place with others, it is quickly disturbed by grisly murders that are conveying unclear messages. Scarlett also realizes that she is changing into something she does not understand, to something that terrifies her. The pull to darkness is tempered by a young man who she remembers in her dreams from another life, a man who like her, is changing dramatically and a man who, in a different life, she once loved. With the looming threat of death and destruction upon the world, Scarlett must find a way to stay true to herself and she must decide whether she will fight the darkness or accept it.
