The Æther Collection

Æther. The fifth classical element. A theory. A myth. A joke. A fringe theory no scientist in the modern age would ever take seriously. That is until 1898 when finally science advances far enough to prove its existence and the possibilities it offers. Soon æther permeates every aspect of the of the scientific world, with research providing new technologies in power and communications the likes of the which the world has never seen. But as the years pass, more and more people begin to experience strange side-effects while using ætheric technology. Gradually, people begin to recognise that æther is something more than just a fuel. It is something far greater. Something that has played an integral part in human evolution – possibly even answering questions about the afterlife – and our manipulation of it for our short-term goals may have had consequences we are unprepared to deal with. The Æther Collection is the horror anthology by author Thomas H. Brand.
