When Michael Carpenter had been invited to examine the most perfectly preserved bog mummy from ancient Germany, it was the opportunity of a lifetime. Then everything came crashing down when the corpse is apparently stolen, carpenter's mentor killed, and he himself left with a traumatic brain injury.
