The Black Rose Road Series: Black Rose is an eerie little mining town of four hundred people, hidden on a treacherous road that weaves through the west coast mountains. There are no cellphones. No signs or street lights; just a cross section of dirt road and a bizarre group of people who dare to live there. It’s also claimed to be home of North America’s most dangerous and elusive cons, crooks, and wanted fugitives. About the Author

Derek Gary Pritchett was born in Mississauga, Ontario Canada on Sept 6, 1985. He graduated from Brock University in St. Catharines with a B.A in Philosophy & Psychology. His first job after graduating was as a landscaper where he said he began to dream up elaborate stories while laying sod for ten hours a day. It was during this period in 2011 that Derek began to pursue his career in writing fiction, learning everything he could from the masters. Work began on his first sci-fi novel, 'The Gates to Utopia' in 2012 and he has since began publishing an on-going, horror short story series called 'The Black Rose Road'. Both are expected in print in 2016. The few people who have had the chance to read DGP's work are raving about it. His writing is heart-pounding, poetic & sinister. Best of all, he is expected to be one of Canada's next great fiction authors. Derek Gary Pritchett currently lives on Cormorant island in a tiny town called Alert Bay with his beautiful fiancé Karen and two dogs, Jake and Taku. Alert Bay is the believed home of the illusive Sasquatch/Bigfoot and also home to the worlds tallest totem poles that are hidden in amongst the ancient first nations burial grounds; the perfect home for a horror writer.
