Some people are born into privilege. Some people are lucky. Some people are able to see the bright side of every hardship. Then there's people like me. Born from pain, raised with fear. Just when I think I've found my own slice of heaven, life shoots me a hard ball. If I thought real life was unbearable, the one in my head is the epitome of hell. My prayers are answered when a friend helps me breathe. I depend on my new companion for even the slightest taste of relief. When left to my own devices, I drown. I beg for a lifeline. I am given a death wish. The puppet of a cruel ventriloquist. Left to fight for control in a battle I don't understand. No one can help me. No one can see the things I see. I'm alone with a demon determined to destroy me. How can someone so broken, find a reason to stay strong? Hope. Love. Him. I need be strong enough to swim for him. I have to come back from the fiery pits for him. I have to stand on my own two feet so that I deserve to stand with him.
