In the horror novel Expired, a pharmaceutical company is trying a horrendous new scheme to keep their profits rolling in and the citizens of Sugarcreek, along with the surrounding areas, are suffering gruesome deaths as a result of their greed. Small town reporter Matt Shea has just landed a shocking story. The good people of his town are dying around him, but when Matt’s world is shattered, he’ll need to rely on strangers to help him answer questions that will unravel a trust that has endured for years and spanned miles. While working with local detectives, Matt tries to move past his heartbreak and grief to help his neighbors before they fall prey to an unseemly killer. This murderer is impartial, the victims completely random and if the team can’t put the pieces of the puzzle together, terror will sweep through the community like a virus. Little do they know, the killer they fear is as close as a routine trip to Main Street. When they finally discover a common denominator, the alarming details lead the group to an unthinkable suspect.
