Seth is a troubled young man who has been running from the things that have haunted him for many years: His mother’s death, a judgmental father and a growing drug addiction that is stripping him from reality. To make matters worse, the feeling that something sinister is bearing down on him is growing and becoming more real by the day. Robert is Seth’s father who quietly mourns the loss of his wife. He helplessly watches as his son chooses the wrong path time and time again. No matter what Robert does to help his son, it always has the opposite effect, driving him further into darkness. After a week of hard partying, Seth plans a relaxing night with his girlfriend, Myrna. His choice to continue experimenting with drugs however leads to fight and as she kicks him out, Seth finds that there is more than a chill and darkness waiting for him in the night of this small central Maine suburb. Slowly is a dark and creepy look at whether or not you can escape the things that haunt you. Can Seth outrun his demons? Can Robert save his son? Or, are the things that haunt you always a little closer than you think?
