The once great city of Azmar is governed by three major monasteries. The Monks of Avarice who seek wealth and power. They use their magic in aid of the highest bidder. The Guardians of Faith, once they aspired to the most noble of goals of mankind but they have fallen into little more than a mercenary role for the average merchant of person of wealth. The Caustic Assassins, specialists in eliminating any opposition with stealth and poison, their influence has only shifted the balance of power even farther towards the greedy. Finally, the Rogues, members of the other clans that have either fallen from grace or simply become disgruntled with their roles and left band together to help the often overlooked common people. But times are becoming difficult for the Rogues as the other clans lock themselves away, afraid of each other and the influence that can be brought against them. Evil has moved into Azmar and the Rogues are losing this silent war. Each clan produced a champion in secret from each other. Individually they are not strong enough to defeat this new threat. Only the Rogues can combine their powers and the spells of the Gods into something that may have a lasting effect on the evil scourge. Can the champions unite before the city is lost forever or will the petty squabbles of their clans prevent salvation and doom Azmar to eternal darkness?
