Houdini & Lovecraft The Ghost Writer

H.P. Lovecraft hated Houdini, but desperate for money to pay his wife's medical bills he agrees to a paid assignment from the great magician. Houdini, well known as a psychic debunker, is hired to put together a team to investigate a purportedly haunted mansion in the hill country of western Massachusetts. Lovecraft agrees to work as Houdini's "Ghost Writer" to chronicle the magician's adventures in the paranormal. It’s 1924, an era of emerging technology, but also of spiritualism and magic. Star Trek/Stargate writer Ron Wilkerson explores the adventure of these two iconic characters in a thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. There is little love between the two vastly different men who come to have entirely opposing views of the happenings in the strange mansion. But when their investigation triggers catastrophic events that cause the team to become trapped in the mansion, they find themselves under attack by deadly invisible forces. Lovecraft's research uncovers the truth of the place, and it's no mere ghost story. But can Lovecraft, the believer, convince the skeptical Houdini of the real danger before they are all destroyed?

About the Author

Ron Wilkerson is a writer, musician, producer, director and inventor. He has written and produced multiple episodes of StarTrek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager, Stargate SG-1 and others. He was nominated for an Emmy as a part of the writing team on the seventh season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. He made a cameo appearance in the Stargate SG-1 fifth season episode "Wormhole X-Treme" in which he played a studio executive. As a musician, he plays keyboards, key bass and sings. He played in R&B bands throughout the Los Angeles area inluding a regular gig at the legendary Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa Beach. In addition to his writing and music, he is inventor of the BreakMaster Digital Green Reader, a golf device used by hundreds of tour pros on the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tour as well as thousands of regular golfers. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife Beverly and daughter Meredith, a DJ who performs as Mer Bear.
