Printmaker, painter, and lithographer Henry Keen (1899–1935) is best known for his illustrations for Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray and John Webster's The White Devil and The Duchess of Malfi.Poet and playwright Oscar Wilde (1854–1900) remains best known for his comedies of the 1890s, including The Importance of Being Earnest, and for his tragic imprisonment and untimely death. His only novel, the horror classic The Picture of Dorian Gray, continues to inspire works in the genre.
