Nancy Fleming is a young woman running from the evil of her past. She is on her way back home to Port Meadows; a port town along the coast of Meadows Jane New York, after escaping 7 years of imprisonment. Uncertain how her return will be perceived by those she has left behind; Nancy grimaces at the idea that she will no longer be welcomed back home. On her travels, she meets John Kirk. John is a man stuck in a hell of his own. Bound by a centuries old curse; he is trapped in a world he does not wish to be a part of, and wishes he could escape. He, like Nancy, has also lost loved ones, and understands what it means to be imprisoned by something primal. Johns cursed existence takes Nancy into a void of darkness; dragging her down into the depths, where his soul has lingered for many years. By doing so, he hopes what “They” are asking for will end his torment.
