Daryl Tempest is a Regional Vice President for a large wholesale lumber distribution company, who is harangued and harassed by an unethical, tyrannical, and womanizing CEO, Simon Snath. Snath's unrelenting hammering drives Daryl to the brink of insanity. A friend of Daryl's suggests casting a demonic spell on Simon for retribution and vengeance. And in an open air marketplace in Mexico, Daryl unwittingly summons the help of Satanic Evil in the form of an "evil object" and the subliminal eradication of Simon Snath, at any expense, begins to pervade Daryl's psyche. Set in San Diego, Tijuana, and at the famed Hotel Del Coronado, Daryl engages the gorgeous widow of one of his psychotic employees in a highly entertaining and teasingly erotic tete a tete and soiree ending in a repeat of the tragedy of Kate Morgan, the famed ghost of the hotel. The story is loaded with innuendo and nuance and can be read as an entertaining crime mystery novel, salted with the occult, or it can be read with the treatise of the story in mind; Is Evil a living entity or is it a state of mind? One thing is for certain; Evil is real and it is best left alone, for once summoned, it cannot be abandoned or contained.
