When Okk, the tyrant leader of an early nomadic tribe, knowingly defiles a sacred land and its inhabitants, he is cursed by the land’s goddess for two millennia to a life of perpetual decay, until the salvation of death is presented to him in the form of a young girl’s heart. Q’darr was a wandering and masterless warrior, until his acceptance into a hidden city of exiles. He is sent in secret by the city’s creator and leader, Orocos, to save a young girl before her cursed and virulent blood is spilled by the desperate and powerful Lord Okk. The human king Darrix, who serves Lord Okk, is promised sole rule over the entire kingdom upon delivery of the girl. Out of fear of losing his head and his wealth, Darrix oversees a sinister campaign that tears apart the city of Panthea as well as its surroundings to find her. It is a race to locate and bring the girl to the hidden city before hell is unleashed. Meanwhile across the world, Ixet, a young spiritualist in training, deals with the loss of his parents as well as his indigenous tribe after a battle between the invading Noordicans and the ancient mud men. An enigmatic destiny is set before him as he begins across the ocean with his brother Xatal and Egaard of the Noordicans.
