She was born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Luemel and Hattie Howard in Portsmouth, Virginia, where she was raised in the Prentice Park and Ida Barbour neighborhoods. She later moved to Academy Park where she attended Woodrow Wilson High School. Linda Martell has four beautiful daughters, all born and raised in Portsmouth. Linda started her writing career in 2018, this will be her first published novel.
