They say evil attracts evil, and ultimate evil...? After a series of increasingly gruesome murders in the small village of Furlong Bridge, DI Matt Dixon, still trying to come to terms with his own beliefs following the horrific events at Hamstone Hall, finds himself facing an adversary more evil than any he has ever faced before. Unsure of who he can trust, he gathers around him a diverse group of allies that includes a Roman Catholic priest, a white witch, an ex-priest turned student of the paranormal and a hired assassin. They are drawn, one-by-one, to the old church in the village for a final confrontation, a titanic struggle which some of them believe could result in the end of the human race. Finding himself facing the entity calling itself The Devil one last time, can Matt find a way to defeat something so powerful it can threaten the destruction of the Earth itself?
