William Cleaver, here. Just call me Cleaver. I suppose you’re poking around the back cover because you’re looking for one of those synopsis things. Okay, how about this? It’s a timeless story about a guy and his dog. ( cue violin music ) The guy, me, permanently unplugs from social media and starts living the happy life of a hermit until a zombie apocalypse springs up and ruins my fun. ( now cue heavy metal music ) I go from the happy hermit, to the sword-wielding, gasmask-wearing, dog-hoarding weirdo that has to go toe-to-toe with mindless, skinless monsters, a deadeater, my own existential dread, and worst of all, actual, living people. It’s a post-apocalyptic, horror-dramedy peppered with not-so-subtle undertones that suggest we should all set social media on fire before it’s too late. Plus it has dogs. Did I mention that? Hundreds and hundreds of them. My loyal, four-legged weapons against the endless hordes of the dead.
