Eigengrau is the color we see when we close our eyes, an aimless sort of inner vision. It's what these stories are about. A collection of ten flash and short stories that would best be described as quiet horror, with a light dose of science fiction, some surrealism - and just a smidgen of unimaginable terrors. If it was a movie it'd be rated R - a bit of foul language, some disturbing imagery. This "Murder Mystery" is slightly more disturbing than our hero expected. "Beyond the sea" or maybe even closer, lies our every future vice and dream. The motto, "Take the standards" might not offer a solution after all. "The dances and the marches" focuses on a rambling hobo, as he eats and eats. "Costume play" delves into the disturbing ways of future cosplaying. "On the hunt" we find them, get a glimpse of their world - so much like ours, but not really. "Singularity and the moving hole", about that moment of mass realization. Over a hole. "What you will" ends with a miraculous answer to her prayers. A "Troll post" is not a safe place to be. "Stars somewhere" says the man, lost in what could only be a dream.
