Janet had been part of that cult, but when she could not endure it anylonger, she escaped. During her life, to save Nick from her father’s influence Janet had blocked Nick’s existence from him. Janet had tried to escape from the evil, but lost her life when her father sought vengeance for her leaving. She died when he reached into the world of the living and found her. With his daughter dead, for the sin of leaving him, Zakarias demands Nick life, because he has learned about the cult. As he struggles to save his own life, Nick must learn how to fight someone who is already dead. In Bodie, a long forgotten ghost town in Texas, Nick prepares for the fight by bringing together elements of religion, physics and even Native American mysticism.
