A multinational research vessel Spirit Wind enters a violent storm near the coast of Greenland. When the storm ends, nothing is the same. All communications to the rest of the world have been lost, and even the night sky doesn't look right. The ship eventually finds land, but the crew soon realizes that they are not in Greenland. The crew and the research team find themselves in a harsh battle for survival in a world that is both familiar and strange – in a reality where nothing is quite as it seems. A silent figure wanders over the desolate hills, guarding an ancient, potentially deadly secret. The arrival of Spirit Wind starts a chain of events where the stakes are high, but nobody knows who or what is playing the game.
