The unwritten rule of life is that all people fall into one of two categories: the living, and the dead. Clifford Milton is sorely unaware that he falls into neither categories. Clifford awakens in a mental asylum and doesn’t remember how he got there. Day in and day out, Clifford struggles to regain his memory. Most of the doctors at the hospital have written him off except for Dr. Johnson, who realizes there is more to Clifford than a deteriorating body and memory. With Dr. Johnson’s help, Clifford’s mysterious past and incredible supernatural gift are all revealed. As pieces of his past come back to recollection, Clifford becomes aware that certain others are after his gift, jolting his memory of an almost fatal encounter in his past, and foreshadowing a growing danger in his future. As Cliff begins to confront all of who he really is, he is driven into a supernatural realm, which could either save him or be his ultimate undoing.
