Read the novel before the “movie.” Artificial Rain consist of three chronological novellas, set in the gritty city of Baltimore, Maryland. The US government initiates a cloud herding process due to the East Coast Drought. The program was christened Artificial Rain There's something brewing under the streets of the city, and it isn't "Natty Boh." The story centers around a newly promoted homicide detective arriving at a grisly homicide scene. Detective Cartier was assigned to a call at an apartment building where a badly mutilated corpse had been discovered. Detective Cartier investigation will lead him from 1996 to 1919, when he receives a visit from a retired archeologist from Texas, James King. James King informs Det. Cartier and his partner Det. Leonard what frightening challenges they were going to be up against, but more importantly the danger they will face. This first novella tells the story as it begins in 1996, or 1939, or 10 B.C., you be the judge. Artificial Rain will have you on the edge of your seat with each page turn. Just remember not to read it, in the bathroom….
