Mark is a remarkable young man. His two mothers, Chloe and Pat, raised him well. He is a gentle soul, sensitive, kind-hearted and generous; perhaps a bit too shy. Mark has one unique talent he keeps secret. He communicates telepathically with animals. Volunteering at the local animal shelter, Mark is very good at his job. The fact that he can hear the animals communicate and know their many tales can be a real advantage. Mark does not get involved in the animal’s stories, preferring to listen in quietly. That changes the day Elizabeth; a beautiful white Persian arrives at the shelter. Mark can tell something is very wrong because Elizabeth refuses to eat. She doesn’t communicate with the other animals. And, she won’t respond to him. He begins to spend extra time with Elizabeth, slowly gaining her trust. Elizabeth finally opens up to Mark, and he learns her terrible secret. Elizabeth’s human, Victoria Calloway, a kind and wealthy old aristocrat, was murdered. Elizabeth saw the deadly plot unfold before her feline eyes. Elizabeth asks for Mark’s help. The murderer spots Mark searching for clues at Victoria Calloway’s estate sale and becomes suspicious. The killer is now after him! Mark gains an ally in Rose, the daughter of Victoria’s younger sister. Rose also has a unique talent. She communicates with ghosts. Can Mark, and Rose pool their abilities to avoid danger and help Elizabeth get justice for her beloved human, Victoria? There is only one way to find out!
