Volume II - Step back – in order to go forward – back to the fourteenth century. Adversity truly descends upon Edison as he finds himself searching for acceptance. Soon after declaring his existence to the founder of his race, he is commanded to quest across Europe in order to solve a mystery that has recently plagued an unknown area of seclusion.Edison and his new mentor, Gareth, soon find the source of what they seek, and are surprised to find it far beyond that of any mortal’s most ferocious nightmare. A castle of darkness houses monstrosities that question the very definition of immortality that Edison and Gareth have come to understand. A deadly opposition has burrowed deeply into a barren wilderness, and only Edison and his new companions can stop it before it can grow to overthrow everything in its path, even the order he so desperately seeks to align himself with.

About the Author

Mitch Martens was born in Portage, Wisconsin on July, 25 in 1985. After graduating from Wisconsin Dells High he failed to adhere himself to a college bound lifestyle. Through it all he maintained his love of writing, becoming an avidly contributing member at the online writing community of Authorstand, where he honed his craft through many peer reviews received as well as given. In 2008, he met his wonderful wife Stephaine, and one year later she gave birth to their beautiful twin daughters Lily and Zoey Martens.
