The Story400 hundred years ago, the Marsden family patriarch conjured up witchcraft accusations against Mary Anne Lowestoft in order to steal her property with its valuable water rights.She was drowned as a witch and buried on top of the dead bodies of plague victims, under the Rowan tree, where now stands the house in which Marielle and Adam are making plans for the upcoming birth of their first child. While digging out the remaining root system of the downed Rowan tree, Adam releases a spell that has lain dormant for hundreds of years which affects his whole family, and eventually kills his father. All these years later, has the accused witch, Mary Anne Lowestoft, come back to reap retribution on the family?
