About the Author

Michael Raff was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He discovered his love for writing at the age of thirteen while still in grammar school. He moved to California in 1968 and attended creative writing courses at Cypress College. He became a psychiatric technician in 1974 and worked for the state of California until he retired in 2007. He discovered he had a flair for writing horror in 1983 when he wrote The Door, the first of his many short stories. Currently, he is a member of the High Desert Branch of the California Writers Club. His nonfictional, romantic, coming of age book, Special, was self-published in 2011 and a second edition was released in 2017. In addition to Seven: Tales of Terror, he has also written two more horror anthologies, Stalkers, and Scare Tactics. He is currently working on his first full-length horror novel. Michael and his wife, Joyce, live in Hesperia, California, along with their amazing assortment of horses, dogs, cats and a pigmy goat.
