Jacob Frosthunter led a normal life in a small town in Southeast Idaho. Wrongfully imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit, he and his best friend, Frederick Valhallen, tried everything they could to stay out of trouble. Until one night Jacob's reaches his breaking point. Using an unseen force, Jacob escapes the prison. On the run, Jacob crosses paths with Ariana Sarcedos, a Witch from the city Coven: The Black Thorn and informs him that he is a Warlock as well. Embarking on a journey of training to master his powers, Jacob gets caught in a war that the Black Thorn has been fighting for years against the dreaded Sorceress, Azethenia Veneficia, gets hunted by an ancient Demon, and crosses paths with the sinister Necromancer Derek Nolan. There's only one person who can defeat the two evil magic makers, one person the Black Thorn has been frantically searching for, for years, the only tie to Merlin himself, Merlin's Heir.
