Beneath the Mask

Against the backdrop of the 18th century, far from the ‘giddy liberty,’ vibrancy and excess of London, comes this dark fantasy love story set in rural England. A young, aristocratic and reluctant bride-to-be, Christiana D’Aubornville, is forced to marry Frederick Beet-Routh. However, everything changes with the arrival of a young weaver Jean-Michel Tisserand when he delivers the wedding dress. A powerful bond with the bride-to-be and the stranger is formed but as evening shadows fall, tumultuous events are unleashed with Christiana’s sudden death. Now in her ghostly persona she pursues the weaver; can a former Doge of Venice help the couple? Their enemies will thwart them at every turn.
