About the Author

Ayd Instone is head of Physics at Fyling Hall School. He runs a creative writing club The Intergalactic Writers' Guild to encourage students (aged 11 to 18) to write their own stories. This helps with both their English and Science studies. Ayd has a Masters in Teaching and Learning from the University of Oxford. Prior to teaching he was an international speaker on creativity and innovation, a singer/songwriter, graphic artist and an occasional comedian. He lives in Robin Hood's Bay with his wife, three children and two cats.
