Deep in an ancient forest sits Castle Morwyn, a silent ruin, empty and foreboding. Tales tell of the riches to be found within, but also of the terror and danger that awaits any who might dare to claim it. No one is known to have entered the castle in living memory, and the surrounding woods have become dark and dangerous. In the lands of men another war has just ended. The forces of the Lord Regent have defeated a rebel uprising and returned the realm to peace. Gilles Harwick, a younger son raised to lordship for valor against the rebels, has been ordered to reclaim the ancient castle for the Regency, and bring order to a wild region of the realm. Gilles embarks into the forest, leading an army of mercenaries and sworn men, and accompanied by a retinue of close companions. His childhood friends, an enchantress and fellow knight, are always by his side. A veteran monster slayer rides with them as well, with orders from the Regent to ensure the young lord's success by any means necessary. His uncle, a learned wizard, accompanies them as well, though for reasons of his own. After fighting outlaws and beasts to make it through the wood, they must take the castle itself. The companions will have to use all their strength, cunning, and magic to overcome the dark force that holds the castle against them, and even that may not be enough... The Curse of Castle Morwyn is the first journey to an all-new fantasy setting, filled with dungeon-crawling adventure, monsters, intrigue, and sorcery.
