Port Royal

In the 17th century Port Royal, Jamaica, was known as “The Wickedest City On Earth”. Over 300 pirate crews called Port Royal home and one out of every four buildings was either a tavern or a brothel. The island was used as a fortress from which to attack the Spanish fleets. On June 7, 1692, a catastrophic earthquake caused the city to sink into the sea, killing more than three-quarters of its population. When present day underwater archeologist Mike Ryan recovers a gold pocket watch from the sunken city of Port Royal, people begin dying. A demonic spirit that was trapped inside the watch since 1692 has escaped and must be stopped. Time is critical as Ryan races to unravel the mystery surrounding the watch before anyone else is murdered.

From the Publisher

Reviews: Richard Triebe's swashbuckling Caribbean novel Port Royal combines the action and adventure of Clive Cussler with the cutting-edge technology of Michael Crichton at his best. With an atmosphere reminiscent of John Saul or Dean Koontz, Port Royal is a diamond-in-the-rough beach read to be enjoyed by a wide audience. It is easily as good as most New York Times bestsellers. ---Stacey Cochran, bestselling author of The Colorado Sequence A story every bit as mysterious and intriguing as its exotic tropical locale. Port Royal gives "between the devil and the deep blue sea" a whole new meaning. ----K. Robert Campbell, author of suspense novels The Fifth Category and The Fourth Estate When the 300 year old spirit of Matthew Hudson goes on an evil rampage, archeologist Mike Ryan has little time to return the ghoul to the sea. Using ingenuity and cunning the reader follows Mike through the twists and turns of "Port Royal." Author Richard Triebe, known for telling a riveting tale, does not disappoint. With his usual collection of fascinating characters, intriguing settings, and intertwining plots, Triebe leaves us begging for more.----Edith Edwards, author of The Ghosts of Turtle Nest Richard Triebe is a creative author who knows how to tell a story. His newest book, Port Royal, hooks readers from the start with its nonstop action. This novel has a great plot and is very cleverly written. Port Royal has it all: Adventure. Suspense. Romance. I didn't want to put it down! ----Christy Judah, author of An Ancient History of Dogs and Spaniels through the Ages
