Shadows: Megan's Story

When Megan was four years old, she saw the darkness take her father, and heard it's raspy and menacing promise to return for her. Completely traumatized by this incident, she became mute. Now, three years later, with an older brother who teases and taunts her about her fear of shadows and a mother who is trying to put her life back together, Megan tries to escape the darkness as best as she can.

About the Author

Phyllis Newbold loves all things dark, creepy, sinister and scary. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis-a chronic illness that affects her brain and spinal cord and has no known cure-at seventeen years old, nothing is scarier than that. Her tales are along the lines of "stories told by campfires late at night, when anything could be possible." Phyllis has a twelve year old daughter, a cat named Phantom, a Labrador named Titus, and a really great boyfriend who makes her happy like no one else can.
