Chosen

Mary, a twelve year old girl, is unwell. She is possessed by a Demon. Her parents refuse to believe, but she is and she's getting worse. Then one night a knock at the door reveals a man who simply 'wants to help'. Mary's mother lets him in and all she remembers is a bright light. Thinking her daughter has died, she weeps and holds her body. Then Mary replies to her good night wishes. She is cured. Mary spends her teenage years obsessed with the man who saved her life and even persuades her school Chaplain, Father Andrews, to help her. As her journey continues, she soon discovers that her path is riddled with betrayal and mistrust. Friends and loved ones can soon become the fiercest of enemies. It soon becomes clear to her that these Demons do not know mercy or empathy. They despise the human race and seek to control or destroy. She befriends Jim Wiseman, a Fire Fighter, who, as the story unfolds, has more in connection with this whole affair than anyone ever thought. Constantly hunted and always on the run, Mary and Jim's only hope is to find the Being that saved her life all those years ago. The Deity, Seraphiel.
