The Prime Minister tries to reclaim his dream but the powers of the Gate continue to move against him. The sun fails to rise, a murderous anarchist sets London on fire and the sinister binders start to take control. Finally, Dan is forced to flee into the shadows of the criminal underworld, where he looks for help to steal away the device that holds the Gate together.
