For years, Stefan Ziegler fought to bury the horrors of his abusive childhood and lead a normal life. Mark Arehart was born and raised in Chicago. A major horror aficionado, Arehart has watched more than eight hundred films in the genre and has read countless novels. As he delved deeper into the world of horror, he found himself bored by the story lines and decided to write a novel that would scare him-House of Pain is the result. He hopes to bring his audience to the heights of fear and anxiety with this story. This is his gift for those who love to be terrified. Arehart currently lives in southwest Florida with his wife, Gina. He has a son, daughter-in-law, and grandson who reside outside of Chicago.
