2122: The Perilous Fight (Revolution)

2122: The Perilous Fight Back Cover From the back cover: So begins the perilous fight! Jack Kennedy, his family and friends repelled the maniacal hordes of Los Muertos and survived. But that was just Act One. Now the Orenite messiah has arrived, and they are training and arming for an invasion. The cannibals are coming for Jack, and this time it is personal. The gangs and cannibals have almost won, and America is the hellish husk of its former self. Our hero will find himself caught in the intrigue of the caliphate court and be led to the Queen of the Orenites. Only raw courage, firepower, and a healthy dose of luck can save Jack this time. In this fast-paced action thriller, Jack will enter the world of the cannibals, fighting against impossible odds each step of the way. He will discover new friends who will fight by his side. But one cannibal will stop at nothing to see him dead, and that will ultimately lead Jack back into the slaughterhouse. From the author: The glimmer of hope that shone at the end of 2121: Twilight’s Last Gleaming was short-lived. Henry Marshall is obsessed with revenge, and will not stop until Jack is dead. Our hero is kidnapped in the dead of night, but not by the Orenites. He finds himself inside the caliphate court in their Las Vegas stronghold. Caliph Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz sees a new direction for the caliphate, one without terrorism. Before he decides, he wants to understand why his father partnered with cannibals. With the assurance of safety from the Orenite queen, the caliph, his nephew, and Jack will venture into the Orenite hive. The caliph should know better than to trust someone who would cook you for dinner. Caliph Ahmed finds himself imprisoned and Jack and the caliph’s nephew, Mohammed, will have to blast their way out. Treachery is afoot in the Arabian Caliphate. Ahmed’s half-brother, Omar, has decided it is his time to be caliph. Like his father before him, Omar has partnered with the cannibals to continue their jihad. First, they must defeat the survivors of Co-op M-125 to secure Omar’s ascension to the throne. But Jack Kennedy is not alone. Many of our hero’s friends from book one are back again, including Tom Wainwright the IRS hit-man, Abe Gregory the former Marine, Steve Caster the IRS agent, and Alexis Johnson his sweetheart. They too will venture into the hive of the cannibals to rescue the caliph. Their adventure will take them from the queen’s pyramid to the eastern edge of Los Muertos through one battle after the next. Even when it seems that peace has arrived, the danger is just beginning. Nothing can stop Henry Marshall from exacting his revenge, and soon Jack Kennedy will have a date in the slaughterhouse. His friends, family, and even the queen of the cannibals will try to save Jack from Henry’s sadistic and demented plan. There is no time left. Henry will kill anyone who gets in his way. Jack’s friends are helpless to stop the madman. Henry is at the cell door. The fate of America depends on what happens next. A gun is clenched tightly in his hand. What do you do now, Jack? Henry’s face is contorted with rage and insanity. Time is up, Jack Kennedy.

About the Author

Karl Morgan has a lifelong fascination with stories in the science fiction and fantasy genres, whether it was the Tom Swift novels by Victor Appleton he read as a young boy, or television like Lost in Space and Star Trek, and especially films like Star Wars, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. All of those tales put the protagonist in terrible situations where the odds are against them and, yet, somehow they prevail. The reader/viewer is always left with a sense that something greater than ourselves is watching over us. The reliance on Divine Providence, the power of friendship, and the desire to learn and grow are cornerstones of the author's Dave Brewster, Heartstone and Modern Prophet Series. The Revolution series represents a change in direction, at least temporarily. There are no angels or demons, although good and evil play prominently. These books look at the possible consequences of a government gone wild. Let us hope this remains fiction. Karl lives in the San Diego area with his wife, Aida, and their beloved puppies. Their two grown children have fled the nest and started their own adventures in life.
