"The Dark Wood" is the first of several fantasy short stories and novellas illuminating the world of The Dark Wood before the novel series is released in 2021. While working on the book series the last few years it became evident that several characters deserve foreshadowing to fully understand their past and the history of "The Dark Wood." Over the next few months additional stories and characters will be unveiled, each providing just a little bit more into the world of The Dark Wood, its characters, and the shadows which lurk where even darkness fears its depths. The Dark Wood is the first short story in the series of the same name. This is the story of Adaline, a young enchantress seeking provisions for her ward when three strangers take fancy upon her, following her deep into the woods. Their future is in for a turn.
