This novel has Demons, Angels, Gifted Children, The Church, Fairies and the principal character Sam has been Bless/Cursed to never die. This is a supernatural fantasy novel. If you like Mike Carey's girl with all the gifts or Stephen Leather's Jack nightingale tales, I think you would like this. I am an Irish writer and this is set in Ireland, I use Irish vernacular for some characters like when a Dublin Hardman is asked to open a door to what could be an army he answers “Bollox to that” said Harry, “Sam your opening the door if anyone is getting shot or stabbed it’s the fucker who can heal”. This is the first book in the series, I really hope you like it.
