What lurks under the mountain? Dr. Ethan Edwards and his wife Stacey travel to the legendary Mt. Wingen in Australia with its underground coal seem that has been burning for 6,000 years in order to conduct a geological survey. Their innocent trek into the outback is quickly derailed by a wealthy madman seeking diamonds nestled beneath the burning vein of coal. But the danger posed by one evil man and his psychotic servants pale in comparison to the ancient terror that crawls beneath Burning Mountain.
