It is said that the hour before dawn is the darkest of all. No one could be more aware of that saying than Jason Marz, after a vile ritual of transmigration leaves him trapped in the flesh of a convicted murderer, hunted by both the forces of justice and the evil Coven of Thirteen. Jason awakens to find himself inhabiting a stranger’s body on the mean streets of Albion, a small town lost in the gloomy swamps and forests of central Florida, a wicked place where the rapacious will of the Coven is countered only by the power and skill of a lone white wizard. Rescued and befriended by the one person who can offer him any hope of a viable future, Jason discovers that his past holds the secret to magical abilities of his own, and the chance for a safe return to his original body. But first, he must learn to control and utilize his new-found and deadly powers, and survive the cataclysmic battle that his magically-enlightened presence has made inevitable.
