Daniel Hunter is a sixty-eight year old retired sheriff from the town of Bow, New Hampshire. He has been looking forward to enjoying his time off until he learns of two unsolved cases. Children in the town of Hooksett, New Hampshire have been dying. No apparent cause of death can be found. The detectives assigned to investigate the case were unable to find any evidence of foul play. After communicating with the families of each victim, Daniel decides to take the case on for himself.What seems like inexplicable death soon turns into a mystery involving witchcraft and a summoning ritual to gain the power of a demon. A man who has been dead for twelve years appears to be behind it all. The deaths also appear to be connected to local municipal elections. The case soon becomes more than he had bargained for.Navigating through a web of deceit and lies, Daniel Hunter only wishes to bring some comfort to the families of each child. He considers it his duty to speak for the victims, since no one else will.
