Jay Disbrow's Monster Invasion (Chilling Archives of Horror Co...

One of the most bizarre, unique stylists from Pre-Code horror comics is cult-favorite Jay Disbrow. If there’s anyone close to this unknown genius, it’s Basil Wolverton. Working with friend, editor, and colorist L.B. Cole, Disbrow wrote and drew many fear-inducing tales specializing in terrifying demons, scary apparitions, and a horde of hairy monsters. This full color, large format book culls the best of Disbrow’s work from moldy comics like Dark Mysteries, Ghostly Weird Stories, Spook, and Startling Terror Tales. Disbrow is one of a few Pre-Code horror artists still with us. A revealing and lengthy interview with the creator serves a dark, ghostly-weird, startling, and profusely illustrated introduction!
